
Dr. Vigdis Vestreng is a senior adviser at the Norwegian Environment Agency (NEA) and project leader for the ChiNorBC and ChiNorCH4 projects on the Norwegian side. She is responsible for and has developed the field of short-lived climate forcers (SLCF) at NEA the last ten years. The Agency's work has contributed to place Norway in the forefront in developing integrated policy strategies for abatement of climate change and air pollution. NEA is the focal point for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and Vestreng has been instrumental in the Panel's decision to develop globally applicable Guidelines to estimate emissions of SLCF.
